A full-service ecosystem for on-product branding, Embelex supports customization, personalization, and smart solutions in the apparel, footwear, and accessories manufacturing markets. Avery Dennison is a global supplier of on-product branding and supporting technology, helping bring brands, much-loved institutions, and sports teams to life through heat transfers, embroidery, patches, and badges. The company recently announced the continuation of its contract to supply Premier League official shirt names, numbers, and sleeve badges for on-pitch and retail. These badges have built-in smart technology that allows users to scan the badge to reveal hidden content on the Premier League app. Now with Embelex, a journey of rapid growth is planned, positioning Avery Dennison as a leader in the supply of digitally enabled physical embellishments, as well as the software and manufacturing capability to provide everything a brand or organization needs to celebrate its name, personalize products in its ranges and create digital experiences to connect with consumers through on-garment branding. In the past three years, the size of Avery Dennison’s on-product branding business has doubled due to the demand for its services. New sites have opened - for woven press and heat transfer services - and the company recently acquired Rietveld (RTVPRINT), which is based in the Netherlands and Turkey. Rietveld specializes in in-house designed and manufactured crests, heat transfers, and decorative sublimations, along with embellishment application and the provision of an end-to-end service to the team sportswear market. World-class service, speed of product delivery, and innovations in embellished garments are priorities for Embelex. For instance, digitally-enabled branding elements - such as ‘smart heat transfers,’ allow consumers to scan a label or transfer, using a phone, to access product information that enriches the end-user experience. The custom apparel market is set to accelerate at CAGR of 5.8% by 2025, incremental growth of US$1.13bn, according to industry analysis. Fueling the change is the increasing consumer demand for personalization and hyper-relevance. Global research by Accenture has found that 84% of consumers are interested in personalized products, and many would not hesitate to pay more to get them. Cleveland, OH — November 9, 2022 — The Cleveland Cavaliers and Avery Dennison (NYSE:AVY), a global leader in materials science and solutions that connect the physical and digital worlds, today announced a new partnership that makes the Mentor, Ohio-based Fortune 500 company the “Official Embellishment Partner” of the NBA team. The announcement comes on the heels of the expansion of Embelex™, Avery Dennison’s suite of solutions for on-garment branding for the global team sports market. They produce digitally-connected embellishments as well as names and numbers for the world’s biggest clubs and leagues including the English Premier League, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid. Avery Dennison also recently announced their partnership as the cutting-edge embellishment partner of the San Francisco 49ers. The partnership with the Cavs represents their first foray into the NBA, while contributing to the community that Avery Dennison, and so many of its employees, call home. As a signature element of the partnership, the Avery Dennison logo will appear on the upper right chest of the players’ shooting shirts and warm-up jackets. For the Cavs, this marks the first time in franchise history that a partner logo has been featured on these team garments. The Premier League's official names, numbers and sleeve badges supplier, Avery Dennison, has revealed the newly designed font and embellishments which will feature on next season's Premier League shirts.
Avery Dennison (NYSE:AVY), a global materials science and digital identification solutions company, has partnered with the Premier League on the new font, which is only the fourth ever redesign in Premier League history. An increase in the number height and the integration of the Premier League's unique graphic pattern ensures the new font has increased visibility and more impact both on and off the pitch. The new names, numbers and sleeve badges will be available from spring onwards, following the launch of each Premier League club's kits for the 2023/24 season. Avery Dennison, the official names, numbers and sleeve badges supplier to the Premier League since 2019, documented the story behind the font change in a video, which includes on-pitch testing involving Premier League commentators, Martin Tyler, Jim Proudfoot and Joe Speight, at Brentford FC's Gtech Community Stadium. "The beauty of the Premier League is that it creates era-defining names and numbers. Founded by Gabriella Mas, (re)boot has been at the forefront of tackling the waste crisis in the fútbol industry by up-cycling and recycling worn fútbol equipment to extend the life of sportswear beyond the game.
